Spring Visitor

Redbush has been delinquent about her blogs for the past several months.  Spring and summer have been busy (lazy) for her, but she knows that all of you have been just as busy if not busier.  At any rate, she hopes you are all having a lovely summer so far.  This little visitor to Redbush's deck has been frequent.  He, or she has been the only one that Redbush knows of having his dinner, or breakfast regularly.  He is usually an early morning riser, and Redbush doesn't always see him although she sees that his sugar water keeps diminishing by the day.  Mr. Redbush changes his mixture every other day for fear of ants and bugs infiltrating the container.  He seems quite relaxed to feed while often being watched through the deck window.  Redbush hopes you are all enjoying the wonderful summer months.

Glad to see that your hummer is around - mine seems to have disappeared!
Great photos!

Daily visits sound nice. I don't see any that often, although nothing beats being buzzed by a hummer while sitting on the porch in a brightly flowered shirt.

Thanks, Leah! They haven't been quite so frequent until this spring. Hopefully they keep coming.

Bag Lady, I know that you have had them around in past springs. I'm sure they'll be back!

I agree, Mary Anne! I have been buzzed a few times, but, not while wearing a brightly colored skirt! They seem to like my hair color!

There isn't a bird which say "summer" better than a hummingbird. Or does he actually hum "summer?" :)

Hilary, we haven't been lucky to have them around this much. Right now it seems that the feeder isn't being used and we haven't seen them for a while. We think it may be due to hornets that we have had hanging around. I'm paranoid of them too! Thanks for stopping.
