Antiques Restored
Redbush had the community museum view and rescue some of the antiques to be represented in memory of her parents and grandparents. The following buggy and democrat were built in the late 1800's. She is posting before and after pictures of both items. She hopes you enjoy the changes and are having a great Monday!

Good to hear from you, Colleen! I just couldn't see them be pushed into a pile of rubble when the farm was eventually cleaned up, and sold. They will be at th East Keskun museum. I hope you get a chance to see them and some of the other items that were donated. Hope you have a great summer!
Thanks, Leah! The elderly gentleman that looks after the museum as far as these types of items in restoration really takes his job seriously, and really appreciated that we donated these. He hopes that some younger people will step up to the plate and take charge, but, he isn't having any luck yet.
The wheels were totally revamped as well as the rest, Missicat, so, they could be hooked up to horses, and used. It's amazing what they could do with both of them being in such bad shape. It's hard to make silk out of a pig's ear, as the saying goes, but they did!
Thanks, Hilary! I couldn't believe the change either! I'm so glad that they were saved so that we and future generations can view them.
Great job! They look wonderful. How kind of you to donate them to the museum for future generations to see.
we will definately be taking the kids there to see them:) we are heading north in about a week and a half to papa's lot, if you are able to, you guys should come over and spend a few days fishing :)we are there the 5th to the 18th. If we don't see you have a great summer and if you're passing through our neck of the woods stop in:)Kev just put in for the fall draws so we'll probably be up that way then too.
Thanks, Bag Lady! There were so many more items that could have been donated as well, but, these were the ones that they were most interested in. At least we were able to save them so our nieces and nephews, and cousins etc. could go there and see them for themselves. They did a lot of work on these two especially!
Thanks for stopping, Colleen! I realized that I spelled Keskin wrong, but, couldn't correct it at that point. I'm not enough of a computer geek, I guess. Hehe! We are heading for Entwhistle on the 5th, so we won't be able to join you, but, we may be heading your way around the 15th of August.
