Heralding Her Harvest

Redbush is profusely appologizing for her lack of blogs this past year.  She has been involved with her acreage, training her dogs, and gardening.  This year's summer seemed to produce her vegetables better than ever, so, she thought she would send you some captions of what she harvested for some of her dishes.  She wonders if any of you plant purple potatoes.  Some of her friends find them too purply for their liking.  Redbush hopes to keep up more with her blog site as she enjoys hearing from you.  She hopes all of you had a great spring and summer and now cheers to a perfect winter with warm temperatures and little snow.

My, what a lot of purple! I have nothing against purple food, but no desire to grow my own potatoes until I have time to spare from growing things more dear to my heart, like lettuce and peppers and broccoli. Also the principle crop in the yard of my new city house is tree roots.
I entirely agree that training dogs and gardening takes priority over blogging, but I'm glad to see you back.

Thanks, Mary Anne. I have been really missing the communication of all of you.

Yay! Nice pictures of your veggies. I totally understand about spending as much time as possible outside in the summer!
(and you can probably get away with removing the word verification on your blog - old folks like me have a hard time reading it! I'm on my third attempt at posting a comment.)

Lovely to see you back to blogging a bit. What a colourful bounty!

I'd have to second what Baggie said. I think I should invite her along to all of the blogs I read who still use word verification... and make them stop. ;)

BagLady, I totally understand about the word verification. I tried three times to get on yours, so, you probably have three entries from me. Sorry!

Hilary, thanks for stopping by. I really don't understand how to set up my blog without the verification thing. Maybe I can get your help!?

Sure. :)

At the top right of your blog page, go to "Design."

On the Design page, look down the left hand side of the page and go to the last option - "Settings."

Click on Settings and it will drop a few more options beneath it. One of those is "Posts and Comments."

Click on that, and over to the right you'll see the option for Word Verification. Change that to "No."

Click on the orange "Save Settings" button at the top right of the page and you should be good to go.
